Project type
Masonry restoration
Scope
  • Chimney stack taken down to the flue
  • Timber work platform on the roof

The challenge

Taking a masonry chimney down on a metal-clad roof means working at height, keeping the roof protected and keeping the work area secure while old brick and mortar come out.

Work completed

  2. 02Built a timber work platform with ladder access beside the stack.
  3. 03Used tarps to protect the roof and ropes with a roof anchor for fall protection.
