The challenge
Chimney tops exposed above the roofline take the worst of the weather. Bricks lose their faces, mortar washes out and the whole stack can become unsafe.
Work completed
- 01Took down the deteriorated brickwork to sound masonry.
- 02Rebuilt the stack in brick and set a new concrete cap.
- 03Finished the flue and flashing details to shed water away from the stack.
